Eleanor & Amelia Updates

Eleanor just amazes us each day. She is just such a little girl now- nothing baby about her! We were at lunch the other day and we had our order number (49) on the table. We noticed her staring at it for a few minutes then she turned around and said "four nine"! She can count very well, but I have never really seen her identify numbers.

Eleanor has 3 freckles now (may turn into moles) that she was not born with. One on the right side of her face by her ear, one on her right wrist and one on her right foot above her baby toe.

We are currently potty training and she has done SO much better than I expected. We had about 6 accidents the first day with about 7 successful times of her telling us she needed to go.

Today, the second day, she woke up and went straight to tee tee. Then about an hour later, she went to her "place" where she always goes to potty. I ran over with the toilet and she was scared to go in it. I held her and told her it was OK and to let it go. She did it!!!!!!! We had one accident this morning and about 8 successful times that she just walked over and went by herself. She has not mastered pulling down panties yet. Every time she goes she says "Mommy!" in this soft, amazed voice.

Amelia is growing like crazy and just such a pleasant, sweet baby love. She rolls all over. If I leave the room for one second, she will be all the way across the room when I return. She swims on her tummy and can turn in a circle. ( Eleanor crawled at 6 Months, 3 Weeks- same age as Amelia now) I am so thankful she is not crawling yet!

She is loving solid foods. She will eat a whole jar if I let her, but she overeats and then spits up a lot.

She is sitting well unsupported for about 3 or 4 minutes on her own. I just get afraid to leave her and have her hit her head :)

Her new face she makes is so funny. She wrinkles her nose and huffs!? So weird, but funny.
