My Friend vs My Enemy

Anyone who has children is familiar with this not-so-strange dichotomy. And we as parents can only hope that the roles will be reversed at some point in our lives. Apparently, now is not that time. We asked Eleanor the other night if she would like some green beans and to our surprise, she said yes. So we obliged. The minute she took one bite they were immediately spit out. Elizabeth thought maybe she should just try again and put the green beans back in her mouth which resulted in gagging and almost actual vomit. So we can add this to the list of methods that do not work when trying to feed your child vegetables: bribing, covering them in chesse and, now, force-feeding.

Anniston just decided the other day to purse her lips shut whenever I tried to feed her ANYTHING. So, needless to say, I have force-fed now too :). She's gotten better the last couple of days...will say a lil prayer Eleanor chews and swallows those green beans happily!
