Happy First Birthday Amelia Jane!!

Oh happy day!  Sweet Amelia Jane is 1!!  I feel like I just posted that Eleanor was going to be a big sis.

What a fun, challenging, crazy, exciting year it has been with two girls.  I really thought I could never love another baby as much as Eleanor, but it is unbelievable how much your heart can grow! 

Oh how you have changed in a year!  This has truly been the fastest year of my life.  I love that you made our family of four, made Eleanor a big sis and your parents happier than ever!  I am super teary as I write this.  It is so bittersweet- 1 year old!

What you are up to Amelia:
* You love to read books, push anything with buttons or lights, puzzles, anything you can chew on, music, only drinking out of sippy cups with straws (like Eleanor) and BEING OUTSIDE!

* You are the most cuddly baby and when I hold you, most of the time you just lay your head on my shoulder.

* You kiss with the sweetest sloppy open mouth kisses.

* You are so proud of yourself walking behind your push toys and when we cheer you on, you clap with us

* You love me, but you LOVE daddy and crawl as fast as you can (head down- we call "the on a mission" crawl) when he comes home everyday

* You "moo" at the cow on your yogurt  and milk containers

* When Eleanor watches Dora, you bounce up and down wildly and scream du du du du

* You love to eat and if anyone else is eating, you take bites off of their plates.  You always eat all of your fruit and veggies before other food and you do not care much for sweets

* You sleep with a baby doll that you kiss all over and hug about 10 times a day

* You are obsessed with Eleanor's art projects and we have tried to let you participate, but you just eat the crayons, markers, etc

* You will pick up anything that is small and try to eat it.  It is impossible to take you outside, because you eat dirt, acorns, sand, rolly pollys etc

* Which is sad because you love to go outside and cry whenever we come in

* You love to stick your head under the faucet in the bathtub 

* You are a dancing fool!  You stomp your feet and kick them out to the sides.  It is HILARIOUS

* You love to look at pictures, especially pictures of Eleanor
* You lay on my shoulder every night while I sing to you.  I hope you never outgrow this. EVER.
* You constantly smile and it is the gummiest, most scrumptious smile. 
* You are always up for anything- so laid back- as long as you are not hungry :)

At 7:58 am on November 19th 2009, you were given to us and we are more than blessed.  We are so so so thankful for our angel Amelia (Twinkles, Melja, Milch)!
