Amelia's Ear Tubes

Amelia's ear tube procedure went great!  We are so thankful! 

We arrived at Medical City Children's Hospital at 6 am yesterday morning.  They did a few things to prepare her and then she got to play in the playroom!  She did so great considering she had not had anything to eat or drink since Midnight.  Around 8 am, we met with Dr Chung and the anesthesiologist and they soon took her back.  She was back to recovery in less than 10 minutes- amazing how fast the procedure is! She was NOT happy when she woke from the anesthesia.  We tried to feed her a bottle of pedialite (she had to take clear fluids before we could leave) and she hit the bottle out of my hand several times.  She finally fell asleep in my arms for about 45 minutes then woke up and took the bottle. 

She has been very tired and fussy (not her usual self at all).  She woke at 7 am this morning and went back down for a nap at 8 am and is still asleep 2 hrs later.
