I am so lucky to be a stay- at- home mom with these two precious girls, but life can be crazy! I wanted to write down a few things so when we hopefully have our 3rd (LONG TIME AWAY), I can remember these times and probably think, how easy was having 2??!!
Eleanor has taken to having a little sister pretty well, but in the last week, we have encountered some of the repercussions.
She gets very upset when I feed Amelia, mostly when nursing. I don't think she understands that I am feeding her- she just thinks I am holding her and wants to crawl in my lap also. Makes nursing not very rewarding with the 2nd- I am on the verge of stopping.
Also, Eleanor has been waking up anywhere between 4 and 6 am crying hysterically for mommy and daddy which makes for tired parents when we have Amelia waking once a night to eat as well.
Mornings are crazy. Amelia usually eats around 5 am, get her back to sleep by 6 am, Eleanor up at 7am. Eleanor, Mommy & Daddy lie in bed and watch Eleanor's shows for about 30 min. I take a 2 second shower while Scott & Eleanor play, Scott takes an even shorter shower, Scott out the door for work, Amelia up to eat and Eleanor eats breakfast. By 9 am, I am usually WORN OUT!
Going anywhere with 2 is a small circus production. Dress Eleanor while she runs around the house, gather snacks, sipee, and any other gear she thinks she needs, grab diapers/ wipes for two/ get Amelia dressed and fed in the meantime so that we time it so that we can be out the door as soon as she eats since she eats so frequently we have limited time for errands/ playdates now. Make Eleanor sit in once place while I load Amelia into the ever so cumbersome baby car seat as she spits up all over outfit that we usually have to change before leaving. Get Eleanor in the car and settled with her sipee, toy, book, lovies, video etc so she doesn't get upset and wake Amelia while out and about. Forget something- phone, sipee, handbag- and have to lock the girls in the car while I run in keeping a constant eye on the car. Finally head out an hour later only to have to return soon so Amelia can eat!!

Oh my sweet friend, you know I can relate! I am feeling lots of urges to stop breastfeeding too, but unfortunately my baby won't take a bottle- so I can't!!!! Any advice?? By the way, you are doing great and you are such a wonderful mommy!!
You would never know you had these challenges by how you seem when I'm around. And you did not blog about taking care of a 3rd child (mine) all the time too. You are the best! When s is home your girls are welcome here any time you need a break.
