Whew.... What a Weekend

It is Monday and I am just getting around to writing this after recovering from our crazy weekend. It all began Thursday night as we headed to Longview to stay with my parents with plans to go to Louisiana on Saturday to see my very sick grandmother. We, unfortunately, never made it.

Friday, Eleanor & I had a busy day visiting Gigi at school and playing with all of the kids. We then met Poppy for lunch at Chili's and it all went downhill from there. As we walked in the door, Eleanor threw up on Scott, but she has never thrown up before, so we thought it was just spit up. After lunch, we put her in the carseat and 10 min later, throw up EVERYWHERE. Scott and I were stunned. We didn't know what to do! Got her back to my parents, cleaned her up etc. This went on the rest of the day/ night and with a call into the Dr, he said it was probably related to her ear infection that we had the week before.

Saturday morning, I called the Dr back, because we had a ROUGH night. He suggested we go get a Rocefin shot, injected antibiotics, to help her ear since she couldn't keep anything down. We could not find anywhere to go in Longview, so we headed to ER to get the shot and also, check her dehydration.

After all of that, around 3:00 that afternoon, my Dad got sick with stomach issues. Mom and I followed soon after. By 6:00 pm Saturday, we were ALL throwing up every hour on the hour. My poor, sweet Scott took care of all of us! What a saint he is. I would not have wanted to be near any of us!

We headed home Sunday and finally felt a little better on Monday. I am of course concerned about our new baby because I was SO ill and didn't eat/ drink for almost 48 hrs and had a slight fever, but my OBGYN reassured me all was ok. My sweet Eleanor is doing better, but still having a really hard time eating :( Dr gave us the orders to keep on formula for another week and wait on introducing anymore whole milk.
